A person is in crucial situation in hospital following a stabbing on a Paisley road earlier this morning.
The incident occurred round 9.15am close to a church on Broomlands Road, at the moment getting used as a polling station.
Police have since confirmed that the incident has nothing to do with the Scottish Parliament election.
The 50-year-old man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth College Hospital, having suffered life threatening accidents.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection.
Detective Inspector Ian Ross from CID mentioned: “This has been a focused assault, with the 2 people recognized to one another, and one is now in a really critical situation in hospital.

“We’re interesting to anybody who witnessed the assault, has sprint cam or CCTV footage, to get in contact by way of 101, quoting reference quantity 0666 of 6 Could 21.”
